Mysuru: Mysuru based CFTRI has prepared food and supplied it to flood ravaged Chennai, said director Rajaram on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Mysuru’s Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) too upheld humanity by preparing food as much 3.5 ton to feed about 10,000 people in the flood-stricken Chennai.
The DFRL had arranged for food such as Uppittu, halwa, chapathi, veg pulav, peas, tomato rice, instant kheer among other dishes and sent it to various places in Tiralooru district of Chennai through the Department of Food and Civil Supplies.
Now CFTRI too has come forward to help the flood-hit Chennai and will be supplying food in three phases for over 50,000 people.
