Mysuru: Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah is making false promises as he is facing the threat of defeat in the elections. After losing the elections, there will be a situation where he will retire from politics,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the Jatra Mahotsava organised at Suttur in the District, Bommai said that Siddaramaiah had said that he would resign if the promise of 200 units of free electricity for each family was not fulfilled. ESCOMs were at a loss during his time. After our Government came to power, ESCOMs have been saved by giving Rs. 8,000 Crore directly and Rs. 13,000 Crore as loans. Due to this, continuous power supply is being provided,” he said.
‘We are scientifically giving 75 units to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. They are lying as to what criteria need to be followed to give 200 units of electricity due to fear of defeat,” he said.
Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling him Hitler CM Bommai said, we all know what happened in Gujarat elections. He said the BJP will come to power with the highest majority as they are busy criticising Modi.
