Mysuru: Mysuru District Rural Congress President Dr. B. J. Vijaykumar said that the Congress party will once again come to the fore in the political holy war of Hunasuru Constituency.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of office-bearers of the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj Organisation Committee held at the Congress Office here in the City he said that it was the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi who had written the preamble for political decentralisation of power to the local bodies and in his name the main objective of the organisation was to bring the activists back into the political fold. In this regard, I call upon all the office bearers who are appointed to be actively involved and come forward for the organisation of the party, he stressed.
“A political dharmayuddha has begun in Hunasuru and in this dharmayuddha, the adharma will be defeated and religion will win. Manjunath, an able MLA who has won thrice, will win again in the political dharmayuddha and as per our party’s rule, he will become a minister if he is elected for the fourth time as an MLA, he said and added that during Hunasuru byelection and Mekedatu Padayatra as many as six cases were booked against him. “Still I won’t take it as set back. All the party activists should not be afraid and have to move on,” he noted.
