Mysuru: Leopard enters house, attacks two

Mysuru: Two persons were injured when a leopard attacked a house at Moodanahalli Village in Akkihebbal Hobli of K. R. Pete Taluk of the District.

Ningegowda and Gowramma, both residents of the Village, were attacked and injured. The leopard, which came to Ningegowda’s Farmhouse in search of food, tried to attack goats, sheep and cattle built in the house.

On seeing this, the locals shouted. Frightened by this, the leopard entered the sericulture house. Earlier in the day, the accused attacked the owner of the house, Ningegowda, and bit him in the face and injured him. I also attacked Gowramma and bit her two hands.

The injured were immediately rushed to the Public Hospital in K. R. Pete Town and taken to a hospital in Mysuru for further treatment after first aid.

Range Forest Officer Gangadhar, who came to know about the incident, visited the injured who were admitted to a hospital in Mysuru and enquired about their well-being and donated money for the treatment.
