Mysuru: MLA H. P. Manjunath has urged the Revenue Department officials to take necessary steps to regularise the cultivation of at least 100 applications under Akrama – Sakrama Scheme with the help of Committee in the meeting to be held next month.
Speaking at a meeting of the Akrama – Sakrama Cultivation Committee held at Mini Vidhana Soudha auditorium here, he said that at least 100 files submitted earlier in Forms 53 and 57 should be presented in the next meeting to prevent the farmers of the taluk from going daily to cultivate land.
He suggested that small grievances of the families who have already applied should be resolved in the villages and the problems of the farmers should be resolved legally.
Farmers who have applied for gomala land should not go for cultivation. Stating that the Government has not given permission for cultivation of gomala land, he advised them not to be cheated by approaching the Taluk Office and middlemen for the cultivation of gomala on a daily basis, he alerted.
