Mysuru: Following the inauguration of a heritage toilet in City, a special pink toilet for women has been constructed. This toilet is built for women and the maintenance is by women. The toilet also has a dressing room and a bathroom, which has been constructed in a special way and cleanliness is given priority.
MLA L. Nagendra, who inaugurated the pink toilet constructed in front of Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan on Arasu Road in City with the help of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) grant, said that the pink toilet has been constructed with the intention of doing something special for women in City.
“Only women can use this toilet. He also said that dressing rooms, and rest rooms have been constructed in a special way for women, especially the disabled, to sit and constructed by taking land from the Government with the grant of the City Corporation,” he said.
“There are more than 150 stalls on Arasu Road in the City. A lot of girls come to work there and should be placed there from morning to evening. It will also benefit them. There are also arrangements where those who come from outside can take a bath if they come from the railway station,” he said.
