Mysuru: PM’s gift from City to go on auction from Sept 17

Mysuru: A model statue of freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose that was gifted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj is among 1,200 gifts, memorabilia and mementos that will be auctioned from Saturday September 17.

Arun Yogiraj is the deft hands behind the 28 foot tall monolithic statue of Bose that was unveiled recently by the Prime Minister at India Gate in New Delhi.

The model statue was gifted as a prelude to the making of this giant statue, during Arun’s meeting with the Prime Minister in the month of April. The proceedings of the e-auction will be used for Namami Gange
project. The auction will be on till October 2.
