Mysuru: A tenth standard school girl kept the Indian flag fluttering at an international level by winning the world junior diamond cup kick boxing title in Russia recently.
In the competition held in Anapa city in Russia, Diya Urs from Vidhyavardahka School in Mysuru won laurels when she was declared winner among 38 contestants at the international competition in the junior K-1 category.
Incidentally, her father Srinath is her coach and mentor.
In the senior category, Girish, a youth from Bengaluru won the silver medal.
