Mysuru: Ravi D Channannavar, a 2008 batch IPS officer serving as Mysuru Superintendent of police has been transferred to Bengaluru West division as DCP here on February 24, reports said.
Amit Singh has replaced the tough officer as the new SP of Mysuru district.
Ravi Channannavar who hails from Gadag district is known for his people-friendly initiatives and tough action against criminal activities. As the SP of Belgaum, he rose to fame for his filmy style of functioning during communal clashes.
