Mysuru: Sudheendra Gowda, a techie from Mysuru is reportedly missing from the last three days in flood-ravaged Chennai. The family has not been able to contact him, it is said.

Sudheendra is son of Gayathri who is the president of Rakshana Vedike in Bilakere of Hunsur taluk in Mysuru. Eight days back, he along with his friend Dhanush joined DLF IT Park in Tamilnagar for work.

But the IT Company is said to be completely submerged in the torrential rains that lashed Chennai and electricity supply is also cut off. All the networks have been cut off and several employees are stranded.

Dhanush is reportedly safe and got out with the help of NDRF and has reached Bengaluru. He has told his parents that Sudheendra is stranded inside the IT Company.

Life in the Tamil Nadu capital has been crippled as a fresh downpour worsened an already disastrous flood situation, posing danger to thousands of people in low-lying areas. The financial loss may exceed Rs 15,000 crore, an industry lobby body said, as weather forecasting agencies predicted heavy rain to continue for at least the next two days.
