Mysuru: NR Group, the makers of Cycle Pure Agarbhathis and owners of the MysuruWarriors franchise formally presented the team for the upcoming KPL tournament with cheers that kick-started the celebrations. Arjun Ranga owner of Mysuru Warriors unveiled the official trophy of Karnataka Premier League 2015.
The all new side will have 20 players out of which 18 have been representing the state at various levels. The remaining three are from the region. They were selected from the rigorous talent hunt which the team had held recently in the city. Apart from presenting the team, the defending champions took the oppportunity to unveil the Official Trophy for this year’s tournament.
The occasion also witnessed Mysuru Warriors introducing it sponsors for the season. Cycle Pure Agarbathies is the principal sponsor. The other organisations who have joined hands are Indus Steel, SPI, Bacardi Music CD’s, DNI Home Theatre, Apollo Hospitals, Myra and BIT.
This league, a tribute to the Scion of The Mysore Royal Family and former President of KSCA, the Late Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, will witness eight teams battle it out for the coveted title and one-of-a-kind Trophy.
The Trophy has been created with a design to honour the Late Srikantadatta Narashimharaja Wadiyar. It features two striking pillars reflecting the beauty and magnificence of the Royal City. Between these pillars is the presence of cricket stumps that fly into thin air in an artistic flow. These visual features, along with a cricket ball placed on top of the Trophy, suggest the true ‘Spirit of the Game’.
Presenting the team and sponsors, Arjun Ranga, owner of Mysuru Warriors and Managing Director of Cycle Pure Agarbathies said, “I am extremely proud to present this year’s team. It is a good mix of talent and experience. I am confident that they will make the city proud.”
“Mysuru Warriors was instituted to encourage the cricketing talent from the region. Living up to its ideals, Mysuru Warriors today, has emerged as a hub of extraordinary talent. We are looking forward to having a successful innings with them”, he said.
Elaborating the team, coach Rx Murali, said, “With good depth in bowling, batting and fielding we have a strong side. Each player in the team has the hunger to do. Clarity of thought is our strength”.
Captain, Manish Pandey said I am extremely happy to lead the team. It’s an all new team; we have retained 5 players from last year’s squad. I am confident that the boys will exhibit an exciting game of cricket, and keep the crowds entertained.

Karnataka Premier League is now in its fourth season. It will commence on September 2. The first phase of the tournament will be hosted at Hubli followed by Mysuru. The finals will be held in Mysuru on September 19, 2015.
