Mysuru: Hundreds of Yoga enthusiasts took part in Yoga Charana and Durga Namaskar at Chamundi Hill in the City on Monday October 3.
Sri Pathanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti had organised the programme as part of Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara. Cooperation and District In-Charge Minister S. T. Somashekar who inaugurated the event said “Yoga has been traditionally inherited by Indians from their elders. By practicing Yogasana daily, we can keep both mental and physical health.”
Including Yoga Dasara all Dasara related programmes are organised in a systematic manner. Yoga enthusiasts have performed asanas after climbing 1000 stairs to the hill. Daily Yogasana demonstration was organised from September 26 till datw.
He also thanked all those who cooperated directly and indirectly in making Dasara grander this year. Almost all the events will conclude, while preparations will begin for Jamboo Savari procession on Tuesday October 4, he added.
Even the Chief Minister will arrive in the City on Tuesday. For the last two years, Dasara was not celebrated on a grand scale due to Covid-19 pandemic. The annual festival is being celebrated complying with the decisions of the high power committee. The officials are also responding in equal measure, said Somashekar.
