Mysuru zoo executive director transferred

Mysuru: A development that took place at the historical Mysore Zoo Authority has finally created a peaceful environment, with transfer of zoo executive director Ravi, which concluded cold war between the executive director and the chairperson of the Zoo authority.

A cold war between responsible chairs of the authority had aroused speculations after tragic death of chimpanzee, blaming that the animal was ignored and not treated well.

However, the official documents revealed that it was an official transfer and not in connection between with the controversy or the conflict with Zoo Authority Chairperson Rehana Banu.

State government on Saturday issued transfer and posting orders of 35 IFS officers with immediate effect.

Chief Conservators of Forests at Bhadra Forest Venkateshan has been appointed as Executive Director of Mysuru Zoo. This apart, Executive Director Bannerghatta Zoo at Bengaluru has been transferred as DCF Shivamogga. Santhosh Kumar who was serving at Mangalore Karnataka Forest Development Officer has replaced him. DCF Bandipura Tiger Reserve, DCF Nagarahole National Park Gokul and other Forest officers have also been transferred.
