Mysuru: We have Narendra Modi government at the helm in the Centre, which is truly concerned about Mekedatu Project, said Pratap Simha BJP MP and added that Congress’ padayatra on Mekedatu is a political gimmick.
Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday December 29, he said that before Modi Government, the State had to release 195 TMC water to Tamil Nadu, which now with Modi’s intervantion has come down to 171 TMC. Even Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has issued a statement that Mekedatu padayatra is also politically motivated, he added.
Simha maintaining what is the need for a padayatra when BJP is for Mekedatu project, added that Opposition’s focus should be a discussion on subject in the Assembly.
