Mysuru: Dr. Gautham Bagadi, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mysuru has written a letter to State Government seeking four months’ time to survey lands. The State Government a month back ordered DC to conduct survey of lands bearing survey number 69,72,72/1 and 72/2 of Yadahalli in Jayapura hobli, Sy no 130/3, 98,131,132 in Dattagalli Village and Sy number 123 in Lingambudhi Village on outskirts of City.

The government order came in wake of allegation by RTI worker and erstwhile DC Rohini Sindhuri that huge irregularities in lands and encroachments of government lands by influential politicians have taken place.

Earlier the government ordered to conduct survey by Tumkur, Mandya and Davanagere Deputy Directors of Land Records excluding Mysuru officials.  Later the government modified order, instructed DC Dr. Gautam Bagadi to conduct survey and submit report within a month.

Now, DC in a letter has requested four months’ time to conduct survey as officials are busy in Dasara celebrations and Covid control measures.
