Encroached land worth Rs 8 crore recovered in Mysuru

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation and Taluk Administration officials have recovered eight acres of encroached land worth Rs. 8 crore in Gorur village in Kasaba hobli on Tuesday December 21.

In 2004, 55-acre land was identified for the Ashraya Housing Scheme at old survey number 38. According to sources, it was found out during the survey that eight-acre land has encroached at RTC survey number 112 to 119, 121 to 124, 126, and 127.

The land has been reclaimed by the City Corporation, and a board indicating that it belongs to the MCC has been placed on the property.

According to sources, Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar Rakshit, Additional Commissioner Roopa, engineers, Ashraya Housing Scheme officials, and the police took part in the operation.
