Mysuru: A farmer couple has appealed for mercy death or demanded to provide justice with sub divisional magistrate in Hunsur near here on Thursday September 16. It is said that Raju and Lakshmi couple own five acres of land in Konanahosalli in survey number 23 in Hunsur Taluk.
They alleged that former Zilla Panchayat member Katta Nayaka is pressuring them to give land for construction of road. They said they submitted complaints with local gram panchayat and police but no action was taken as Nayaka is landlord and influential.
Raju said that during January, previous revenue officials surveyed the land and reported that there is no road in their land and they did not encroach road. Despite that Nayaka is troubling them.
The SDM Varnit Negi who received application said he will instruct Tahsildar to visit the spot and submit a report.
