Mysuru: A 5–year-old leopard was captured at MB Village near Varuna here on Friday November 26.
The cage was set up at a property belonging to one Nagendra, a native of the village. The villagers who had seen the leopard roaming around informed the Forest Department officials who trapped the animal.
Forest official Vijaykumar said that the trapped animal was being examined at the veterinary clinic and later will be released into Nagarahole forests. Forest staff Papanaika, P. A. Jagadish, Srinivas, Ravi and Ganesh were involved in the operation.
