Mysuru: Million ICU, an initiative that addresses the massive shortage of ICU beds and staff in public hospitals has upgraded 35 normal beds into step-down ICUs in Krishna Rajendra Hospital to facilitate critical care for 1000+ patients over the next 3 months.

Dozee has also set up a 24×7 Central Monitoring Cell at the hospital which enables healthcare staff to monitor multiple patients remotely from Gynaecology and Durgical ICU Departments which were previously monitored manually every couple of hours.

The MillionICU initiative answers the urgent need to strengthen the long term public health infrastructure and make quality healthcare available, accessible and affordable to the vast majority of the population in India.

In Karnataka Million ICU has upgraded Victoria Hospital, Charaka Hospital, Jayanagar General Hospital, Mysore District Hospital, BRIMSBidar, KIMS-Hubli, SIMS-Shimoga and plans to install 500 more devices in the coming months.

The Million ICU initiative is an effort to leapfrog the critical health infrastructure and empower government hospitals with step-down ICU beds. The initiative aims to dramatically increase the number of HDUs with centralised patient monitoring in these hospitalsand make critical care more easily accessible and available, even in the remotest part of the country.

Under the initiative, hospital beds will be installed with Dozee’s contactless sensors powered by an AI-based triaging system that enables continuous (more than 100 times per hour) and accurate monitoring of a patient’s heart rate, respiratory rate, and other clinical parameters like sleep apnea and myocardial performance metrics without coming in contact with the patient. The constant stream of patient data aids the medical staff with early detection of patient deterioration and notifies the care team of any abnormalities before it becomes critical. Custom alerts can be set for every patient, helping doctors optimise treatment plans, focus on critical patients and provide improved proactive care. By setting up such a connected healthcare system Dozee aims to digitalise the health monitoring as well as to improve the ICU throughout.

Dozee is India’s First Contactless Remote Health Monitoring Startup that tracks heart health, respiration, sleep quality and stress levels with 98.4% accuracy as compared to medical devices. Dozee’s AI-based module Advanced Health Intelligence, detects early signs of health deterioration by continuously assessing user’s vitals data and conducting a risk analysis.
