K’taka Govt issues guidelines for Mysuru Dasara

Mysuru: The State government has issued guidelines for the Mysuru Dasara beginning from October 7. According to the guidelines, strict Covid-19 rules must be followed during the festival, which will take place from October 7 to 15. Only 500 people will be allowed to attend the ‘Jamboo Savari’ on October 15 at the Mysuru Palace grounds premises.

100 people will be allowed for the inaugural ceremony which will be held at Chamundi Hills on October 7.  For Dasara cultural programmes and lighting, 500 people will be allowed. One dose of Covid-19 vaccine as well as a negative RT-PCR test result is required for those participating in the programmes.

Local artistes will be given prominence for the cultural programmes. The order has directed the District Administration to strictly adhere to the guidelines. As per the order, violators are liable to be punished under the law.
