Mysuru: A man attempted to die by suicide in front of the JMFC senior judge on the evening of Monday April 4.
The man, identified as Prakash (48), is a native of Vidyaranyapura here, staying with his family in his ancestral house. However, his sisters and mother visited him and tortured him to vacate the house demanding a share.
In 2011, they even filed a suit in City Civil Court requesting a share. However, they did not appear in court regularly, causing the case to be delayed. Prakash was so disgusted by the case’s postponement that he consumed pesticide in the court hall.
Prakash was taken immediately to KR hospital by the police officers and given treatment.
