Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has warned of initiating action against erecting flex boards, posters, banners and buntings illegally.

The notification issued from the office of MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, stated that “erecting such publicity materials without permission is illegal and the offenders will be dealt under Karnataka Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act 1981.”

The Commissioner has stated that “It has come to light that the illegal banners, posters, flex boards and buntings are being erected in 65 wards of the City. It will mar the beauty of the City and also contribute to the volume of waste. The waste littered on the roadside sometimes also lead to accidents.”
