Mysuru: A couple was reportedly assaulted by miscreants for a trivial reason at T Narasipura here on Tuesday June 14.
The injured Ramesh and Shobha couple has been running a hotel in Narasipura Town for 13 years. On the night of Monday June 13, two persons came to the hotel and asked for a cigar lighter. When Ramesh told them, it is Rs. 20, the men picked up a quarrel. Shobha pushed and chased them away.
However, on Tuesday morning, a gang of five youths came again with an iron rod and assaulted the couple which was recorded on the CCTV camera. The men pulled the hair of the woman and undressed husband Ramesh and assaulted severely.
The couple was admitted to the hospital for treatment. The assault video went viral on social media. T Narasipura Town Police has registered a case and launched an investigation.
