Mysuru: A book, ‘Namagilla Hakki Haadu’ authored by poet Dr. Santosh Chokkadi was released on Sunday June 12.

The programme was jointly organised by Channarayapattana’s Yadunandana Prakashana and Bengaluru-based Upasana at Rama Govinda Rangamandira of Nrupathunga School premises in Ramakrishnanagar.

Senior poet B. R. Lakshmana Rao who was the Chief Guest released the book and shared a few words. He said that modern-day poets lack rhyming skills and do not have much knowledge about the importance of their work. He expressed that ‘Bhavageethe’ is a form of art, and if the new and young poets use prosodic ways of creating their works, they would be more pleasant.

Further, he said that ‘Namagilla Hakki Haadu,’ was a collection of Bhavageethe.

Dr. C. Naganna who presided over the programme lauded the works of Dr. Santosh Chokkadi.
