Mysuru: The caste system in the country has become like a stagnant water. Change is possible only if it is dynamic, said Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah. However, he hit out at the RSS, saying that the RSS and the Sangh Parivar were not agreeing to this change.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 535th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Bhakta Kanakadasa, the swearing-in ceremony of office-bearers of Mysuru City, District and Taluk Kuruba Sangha, organised by Karnataka Pradesh Kurubara Sangha and Mysuru City, District and Taluk Unit, at Kalamandira here on Wednesday November 30. The Sangh Parivar is trying to divide the country by treating Muslims like puppets. It was me and our Government that erected Valmiki’s statue in Vidhana Soudha. But it was others who took advantage of it. So the people of the society should be aware, he noted.

He added, “Find out who is responsible for the inequality and why and then decide who to be with.”
