Mysuru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Spokesperson M. Laxman has complained to the Deputy Commissioner against Mysuru Kodagu MP Pratap Simha that he has allegedly misused his MP’s funds and urged him to take action in this regard.
In the complaint, M. Laxman alleged that Simha had misused his MP’s fund. It is also alleged that he gave an ambulance to the Hoysala Clinic named after his wife in Kakkanje in Dakshina Kannada District and Mudigere in Chikkamagaluru with money from the MP’s Fund.
The complaint alleged that Ambulances were donated to Gopinath Charitable Trust, which is a fake trust as the address given in the records shows that McDonald’s is functioning at the address. It is alleged that the ambulances worth over Rs. 23 lakh was misused by MP.
M. Laxman highlighted and alleged that the MP has misused more than Rs. 41 lakh through MP Local Area Development Fund. He said he has given documents for the allegations and urged to initiate severe action against misuse. He also warned that if the authorities do not initiate any action against MP Simha he would file a case in the elected representatives’ court.
