Mysuru: The police have arrested an accused who allegedly killed an engineering student in a hotel four days ago.
The arrested has been identified as Ashik (28), a native of City and deceased is identified as Apoorva Shetty, a resident of Vijayanagara Fourth Stage.
It is said that accused and deceased were lovers since three years. A week back both availed room in a hotel and stayed there. But both were quarreling for rifts about marriage. Accused Ashik in a fit of rage allegedly strangulated Apoorva and fled from the scene. It is said that accused went to Kamplapura in Periyapatna Taluk and attempted suicide. Police traced tower location and arrested accused.
Devaraja Police has registered a case and are investigating.
