Mysuru: MLA S. R. Mahesh said that steps will be taken to celebrate Farmers’ Day from next year on behalf of the Taluk Administration.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Taluk-level Kisan Ghoshti programme organised jointly by Farmer Producer Organisations, Taluk Yuva Raitha Vedike and Agriculture Allied Department as part of Farmers’ Women’s Day and World Food Day celebrations at Sri Krishna Mandir in the Town.
MLA suggested that the office-bearers of the Farmer Producer Organisation should work towards informing the farmers about the facilities available to them by the Government and that workshops should be organised for the farmers to facilitate them to grow a good crop. He assured that all kinds of cooperation will be provided for the same.
