Mysuru: The State Government will provide its full support to ban specific organisations that are allegedly supported by Pakistan, said Revenue Minister R. Ashoka. The government won’t hesitate about banning groups like SDPI, KFD, and PFI, but they might regroup under a different name, he added.

He said that while these organisations had been banned by the Centre, they had continued their activities under different names. He said that while serving as Home Minister, he took action to ban these groups and held discussions with the Centre. He noted that the Kerala government also wants to ban these outfits, but it takes time.

Ashoka said that the BJP government has filed 200 cases against these activists and that the Centre has begun gathering information about the leaders of these groups to take action against them. He, however, blamed Congress for their growth.
