Mysuru: District In-charge Minister S. T. Somashekar and Chamundeshwari Constituency JD (S) MLA G. T. Devegowda inaugurated Grameena Dasara at Jayapura here on Thursday September 29.
After offering puja to Goddess Chamundeshwari, the Grameena Dasara was inaugurated with much fanfare. Grameena Dasara is being organised at Jayapura so that people don’t miss out on the extravaganza during Nada Habba.
Minister Somashekar said, “Grameena Dasara is organised in all the Taluks of theDistrict. Devegowda has made arrangements nicely. In the last two years, we could not have proper Dasara. There is a good response from people for this year’s Dasara and it will be a full-fledged one.”
Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament Prathap Simha, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham, Mysuru Zilla Panchayat CEO Poornima B. R and others were present.
