Mysuru: In a tragic incident, two sheep were killed in a leopard attack at Tagaduru Village in Nanjanagudu Taluk.

The sheep belongs to Ravi Swamy, a farmer from the village, who was grazing in the field when the leopard attacked them.

The leopard, which was hiding inside the bushes, attacked one sheep and after eating it, attacked another sheep and took it away.

The farmer said, “When he came home, he found that the number of sheep was less and when he returned to the spot, he found the carcass of a sheep, half-eaten and thrown away.
In Tagadur, Chunchanahalli, Karya, Chinnamballi and other villages, the leopard menace is on the rise and farmers are reluctant to go to their fields.

We make a living by relying on sheep. We are afraid to pay for the fields because of the leopard menace.

Day by day, leopards are attacking one or the other domestic animals. Who will be responsible if human beings are attacked?” he asked. The Forest Department officials should immediately visit the spot and conduct an inspection, place a cage and capture the leopard. Ravi Swamy, a farmer, has demanded adequate compensation for the farmer who has lost his sheep.
