Mysuru: Over 29 couples reunited through Lok Adalat

Mysuru: As many as 29 couples reunited and many other cases were solved amicably at the Lok Adalat held in the City on Saturday November 12.

Of the 29 couples reunited, 20 were from Mysuru Taluk, 2 each from T Narasipura and Piriyapatna, one each from Nanjangudu, Hunsuru three couples from HD Kote Taluk.

A total of 94 alimony cases have been settled in Lok Adalat. Rs. 72 lakh fine has been collected. In 16,746 cases related to the traffic violation, the offenders paid Rs. 72,42,100.

Rs. 1,85,42,722 claim from 246 cases related to Bank and Rs. 1,51,942 from 62 cases related to BSNL were settled. The concerned paid the money and settled the case.

The Mysuru City Corporation filed a total of 37,762 cases related to non-payment of water bills. All the cases were settled as consumers paid a total of Rs. 4,25,50,053.

In another marital case, after the death of the parents, the husband and wife were adamant that their 13-year-old son should join us. Lok Adalat succeeded in persuading the boy to grow up in both houses. Both families agreed to compromise.

There were 1,13,209 cases in the court and 39,879 cases were identified as negotiable cases. Including the cases settled on Saturday November 12, a total of 64,672 cases have been settled this year. The Lok Adalat court ordered to pay compensation of Rs. 81.50 Crore to the complainants. . Rs 72,43,100 fine was paid by people in 16,746 cases of the traffic violation. Principal District and Sessions Judge M. L. Raghunath informed that a total of 64,272 cases were solved this year.
