Mysuru: At a time when it is enough to get a government job, a police constable has resigned from his job and is looking for a future in politics. Rachappa, who was posted as a Head Constable at Nanjanagudu Town Police Station, has resigned from his post and entered the political arena. Janardhana Reddy is contesting from Nanjanagudu Reserved Assembly constituency as a candidate of his new party Kalyana Rajya Pragati Party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Rachappa, who has already been officially given a ticket by the party, is actively campaigning in the constituency to woo the voters. Rachappa, who served in the Police Department for nearly 25 years, was originally from Hosahalli Village in Nanjanagudu Taluk. He has worked in Mysuru, T. Narasipur and H. D. Kote.
Speaking on the occasion he said, “Though I have the opportunity to serve for another 8 years, I am longing to serve the people”.
He respected Janardhana Reddy’s words and jumped into politics. He resigned from his post while he was posted at Nanjanagudu Police Station and entered the political arena. Despite not having any political experience, he has started the political game. Rachappa, who was also a ticket aspirant from the BJP, wants to join the party formed under the leadership of Janardhana Reddy and get elected to the Assembly.
