Mysuru: The killing of Praveen Nettaru is a painful matter. If any party is in power, it has two main responsibilities. Along with saving public life, maintaining law and order becomes important. If that work is not done, why to have such a government?” said Harshvardhan, a BJP MLA from Nanjanagudu Constituency, thundering against his own government.

Speaking at the protest organised by the Hindu Janajagriti Samiti in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here on Saturday July 30 condemning the killing of BJP Yuva Morcha worker Praveen Nettaru, he openly expressed his displeasure against the Government.

The events that have taken place in the party have caused great pain. However, the accused were arrested within 48 hours. A new law should
be implemented in the state to curb such acts. Nanjangudu and Gundlupete are on the Kerala border. What is the guarantee that such incidents will not happen? Workers have shed sweat and blood for building party, he said and insisted that the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai should do the job of protecting everyone

MLA from Krishnaraja Constituency S. A. Ramdas said, ‘There is a situation in the state where we are asked to save us. There is no greater shame than this. We are fighting this battle to save ourselves as human beings in the next decade. This country should be India, not Pakistan. India’s honour is more important than our life,” he said.
