Mysuru: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid a visit to the Chamundeshwari Temple atop the Chamundi hills on Monday October 3 on the third day of the party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in the State.
He was accompanied by supporters and party leaders as he visited the temple.
In a tweet written in Hindi after visiting the temple, Gandhi wrote, “Religious harmony is the foundation of India’s peaceful and progressive future.”
The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which began its nearly five-month trip from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, is now in its 26th day.
The yatra in the District took the shape of a procession with performances by artistes dressed in traditional attire to match the festive spirit of the town.
