Mysuru: Siddaramaiah’s fan club stages protest against Ashwath Narayan

Mysuru: The Nanjanagudu Congress staged a massive protest against Minister Ashwath Narayan’s statement at a BJP meeting that Siddaramaiah should be finished off like Tipu Sultan.

The protesters, who had gathered near Hullahalli Circle on the Gundlupete – Mysuru National Highway 612, blocked the road, threw slippers ar the effigy of Minister Ashwath Narayan and set it on fire and shouted slogans.

Later, Former MLA Kalale Keshavamurthy said that a protest will be held in Nanjanagudu on Thursday February 23 against Minister Ashwath Narayan’s statement and demanded that the Government should immediately drop miniyster Ashwath Narayan from the Cabinet.

The protesters submitted a memorandum to Tahasildar Shivamurthy, who reached the spot after learning about the incident.

Traffic was disrupted for sometime due to the highway road blockade. Congress Party workers participated in the protest.
