Mysuru: In an attempt to create awareness and promote heart health to the general masses and to educate the common man to fight against the cardiovascular disease (CVD) burden, Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Mysuru has adopted a unique step of creating awareness on a healthy heart.

Narayana Multispeciality Hospital flagged off a vehicle decked up on this year’s theme and the message “Thoda Dil Thoda Heart”. R. Chethan Superintendent of Police, Mysuru District flagged off the campaign vehicle. The aim of this campaign is that the vehicle en route will highlight the importance of heart’s health and educate, inspire and encourage people on heart-healthy living. The vehicle will cover all 65 wards of the City.

A team of health care workers and “Thoda Dil Thoda Heart” mascots would be traveling with the vehicle and wod conducting numerous programmes of public interest with the sole aim of making people aware of the threat that heart disease poses today. When the vehicle comes back in the next four weeks, the vehicle is expected to touch all major junctions covering key industries, associations, public forums, gated communities, parks, and other fraternities to spread the much-needed awareness.

“As the pioneers of healthcare in the Heritage City – Mysuru and to continue our pledge on spreading awareness on Heart Health, a vehicle branded on the theme of this year hall be covering all major parts of the city in the next 30 days,” said Dr M N Ravi Clinical Director of Narayana Multispeciality Hospital. We would organise numerous mass connect programmes en route, aimed at heart-health education for the citizens. The objective is also to invoke the most important question: “What can I do right now to look after my heart and your heart?,” added Dr. M. N. Ravi.

World Heart Day is observed on September 29 every year. World Heart Day is a global campaign during which individuals, families, communities, and governments around the world participate in activities to take charge of their heart health and that of others.
