Mysuru: A Mysuru university employee was brutally murdered on the morning of Friday July 1, which happened to be his retirement day.
The deceased has been identified as Krishnegowda (60), an employee of the engineering division of the university. It is said that Krsihnegowda has gone on a morning walk at around 5.00 am to Butale ground in Vidyaranyapura as usual.
Miscreants hacked him to death on the ground by attacking his neck using sharp weapons. The passersby alerted police who shifted him to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Vidyaranyapura Police has registered a case and is investigating.
