Mysuru: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy thanked the people for participating in large numbers in JDS Pancharatna Rath Yatra.

Speaking to mediapersons at the Office of K. R. Pete MLA Sa. Ra. Mahesh. Kumaraswamy thanked the people of the State, workers, staff of KSRTC, BMTC, private bus owners and drivers and police for the successful completion of the Pancharatna Yatra, he said and added that the Congress is conducting surveys everyday with the confidence that they will win 130 to 140 seats and come to power. Keep these survey reports in a bundle at the Congress office. I know what the power of Congress is in the State, he mocked.

He criticised that the Congress will not even cross 75 seats in the next election. Last time he ruled for 5 years, gave many good schemes to people but Congress told Muslims not to vote for JD (S) and got 70 seats. In the end, Kumaraswamy attacked Siddaramaiah indirectly saying that he brought down the Coalition Government and brought a Government worse than BJP. The BJP Government ruling the State has failed in all areas. It claims to have developed by just giving daily ads. Whatever BJP does this time, it will be difficult for them to win, said Kumaraswamy.

Siddaramaiah, who ruled for 5 years after Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Devaraja Arasu, who has given many good projects is now struggling to find a seat to contest Assembly election. Now he is talking about contesting on two constituencies. In politics, Deve Gowda is called as Dhritarashtra but Kumaraswamy asked what kind of love Siddu has for his son. We will win 50 seats even if we are quiet. But if you work hard, you can win 125 seats, that’s why the closing ceremony of Pancharatna Rath Yatra was held in the field for the grace of mother Chamundeshwari, said HD Kumaraswamy, and added that the second list of JD (S) will be released in two days. It is difficult to implement the increase of reservation for Vokkaligias and Veerashaivas without considering any legal issues during the election. BJP is trying to woo the people on this issue. The statements of the Congress in this matter are not correct, he said.

He said BJP has planned to win elections by reducing reservation for Muslims. In other words, Kumaraswamy alleged that the BJP had conspired to win elections by setting fire between Hindus and Muslims. Although the Pancharatna Yatra has concluded, the scheduled programmes will continue. Scheduled programmes of Pancharatna Rath Yatra will be held in Govindarajanagar, Yalahanka, Vijayanagar Assembly constituencies of Bangalore, Hanur and Gundlupet of Chamarajanagar District on April 4, 5 and 2, Periyapattana on April 7 and Chitradurga on April 10. HDK criticised that the Chief Minister’s laying of foundation stones for development works in Ramanagara with a grant of more than Rs. 600 Crore is just for publicity and it will not be implemented.
