Mysuru: The National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) distributed free eggs to the morning strollers and joggers at Kukkarahalli lake in the city on Friday October 8.
Marking World Egg Day on the second Friday of October every year, the NECC Mysuru zone distributed a plate of boiled eggs for free. Two boiled eggs in each plate were distributed to the visitors irrespective of age group.
According to the 14-point pamphlets released by NECC to explain the significance of consuming egg. “egg is nature’s most perfect package of nutrition, it is naturally sealed and absolutely unadulterated, egg protein is of the highest quality,” it read.
NECC Mysuru zone chairman Satish Babu told that boiled eggs were distributed for free to spread a message on the significance of the consumption of eggs.
