Objectionable post on CDS Rawat: Bengaluru Police arrest accused

Mysuru: The Bengaluru Police has arrested a person on charges of uploading objectionable post in facebook on Chief of Defence Staff of Indian Armed Forces Bipin Rawat’s death. The Mysuru-based accused is working as lab technician T. K. Vasantha Kumar (40) in Bengaluru Private Hospital on contract basis.

The Vidhana Soudha police have arrested accused under section IPC 505 as the arrested working in their limits. The arrest was made followed by an order by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai that instructed to take action against
those who celebrate Bipin Rawat’s death in social media.

Meanwhile, a complaint has also been lodged in Mangaluru Police Station against three who have made derogatory remarks about death of officer. On Friday December 10, Mangaluru Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar said that police registered cases against  Shrinivas Karkala, T. K. Vasantha Kumar and another unknown person. He said all the three would be questioned and further action would be taken.
