Mysuru: Mysuru – Kodagu Pratap Simha expressed anguish over his own party legislators for objecting to lay gas pipeline in the City.
The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) called a meeting on Thursday January 28 to discuss about laying pipeline in City but the meeting was deferred as most of the corporators including BJP corporators did not turn up for the meeting.
Pratap Simha alleged that his own party MLCs have instructed corporators not to attend meeting. He said the pipe line project was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. The Modi would come either in November or December next to inaugurate the pipeline. Hpwver local MLAs wrote letters to MCC Commissioner not to issue permission for the project.
Simha, also said, “Ramadass had recently organised the ‘Modi Yuva Utsav’ to highlight the achievements of the Modi-led government. Then he must also extend his support for this project. But the BJP MLAs Ramadas and L. Nagendra defended their decision saying gas pipeline would damage roads badly. The beauty of City will also be destroyed, they added.
Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy said, “The MCC will give permission only after all aspects of the project are examined at length in the next council meeting.”
