Mysuru: S. Nagashree, a research scholar of JSS Research Foundation and JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science in the city has been awarded Young Ethnopharmacologist Award (P. K. Debnath Memorial Award) – 2022 at the 9th International Congress of the Society for Ethnopharmacology, India (SFEC-2022), held at JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, last week.
The event witnessed more than 2000 delegates. Nearly 560 delegates presented their research work in the form of posters and 131 delegates showcased their research through oral presentations.
Among 131 presentations, only 30 were nominated for Young Ethnopharmacologist Award Competition-2022. Nagashree won first place in the Competition for her research work entitled “Lutein oxidized products regulate lipid metabolizing enzymes in high fat diet-induced C57BL6 obese mice and suppresses lipid accumulation by downregulating TGFβ1 and p38MAPK in 3T3L1 preadipocytes.”
