Mysuru: Alleging that the Government jobs in Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) are going to corrupt people, the activists of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest in front of Mysuru Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Wednesday May 4.

Leading the protest in Mysuru, AAP’s District President Malavika Gubbivani said, “KPSC is known as the “den of corruption” and all the Governments have only spoken about bringing the KPSC onto the right track but have not taken any corrective steps. The appointment of corrupt people like Sham Bhat in itself was a disastrous step and our volunteers who protested in front of Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru against this are still facing court cases.”

She said, “The time is right for all of us to unite and protest on behalf of three crore youth of Karnataka and against the Governments which have so far ruled the State. On one hand, the youth are not getting jobs as per their educational qualifications and on the other, the corrupt are cornering the scarce government jobs and thus, the ruling BJP is doing injustice to the youth of the State.”

She added, “KPSC was formed with a noble cause to provided  jobs to the youth of this State but this has become a marketplace to sell the jobs and make crores of rupees for the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. The question is do the people of Karnataka need such establishments? AAP has launched this campaign to “lock up KPSC” and thus save the Government jobs. It is our effort to reach this demand to the deaf ears of the government.”
