Two techies die in freak mishap

Mysuru: Two women software engineers died on the spot when a car in which they were travelling rammed to the lorry coming from opposite direction at  Rangayyana Koppala Gate in Mysuru – Bantwal National Highway on the evening Saturday June 18.

The deceased have been identified as Jeevitha (24), daughter of Chandrashekar in the City and Pratiksha (24) daughter of Prasanna, KP Agrahara in City. It is said that both availed a Zoom Maruti car and drove towards Hunsur. The front tyre of the car got punctured, and that’s when the driver lost control of the car and rammed to a milk tanker coming from opposite direction killing both on the spot.

The vehicular traffic was disrupted for more than an hour in the highway. Police shifted bodies to KR Hospital and later handed over the same to families. Bilikere Police registered a case and is investigating.
