Mysuru: Former minister and BJP leader accused Congress corporators and member of legislative assembly M K Somashekar of tarnishing his image by issuing false statements and by twisting facts in public. Ramadas filed a complaint with the city police commissioner, through his aide on November 22, demanding severe action against his detractors.
Ramadas in his complaint clarified that he had not issued any statement on the new currency. He was serving as an honorary president of RBI in accordance with the rules since 18 years and had not sought any change in the currency design as alleged, he stated.
He accused Congress MLA M K Somashekar of using foul language on a public forum to tarnish his image and issuing false statement being aware of facts, despite being a public servant.
He demanded strict action against the MLA and Congress corporators for twisting facts from his press briefing.
The complaint was handed over by corporator Manjunath to city police commissioner Subramanyehswara Rao.
