Mysuru: Following rapper Chandan Shetty’s ‘on-stage’ proposal to ‘Gombe’ Niveditha Gowda during the Yuva Dasara event in Mysuru, the two have received flak on several social media platforms.
Netizens have taken on the duo, questioning them as to whether or not they took prior permission from the organisers to commit such an act.
They have also asked district in-charge minister V Somanna to take stringent action be taken against the ‘Bigg Boss’ fame stars.
According to IBTimes, Chandan Shetty has apologised to the people for proposing to Niveditha on stage. He said that, as he is from Mysuru, he felt that there was no better place to propose to his lady love. He has also said that he wanted to propose to her live on stage, in the presence of their family members and put an end to the all the rumors surrounding the duo.
It can be recalled that on Friday, during the Yuva Dasara performance, Chandan Shetty sang the song “Gombe”, which he had written for Niveditha during Bigg Boss season six. He got down on one knee and asked her, “Will you marry me?”
Niveditha was pleasantly surprised by the public proposal and was left speechless by the grand gesture.
