Mysuru: Round Table India and Varthana have collaborated to introduce workbooks for 1,000 students to ensure continued education amidst the school closures. Rahul Nursery and Primary School on Manandavadi Road at Mahadevapura in the City has benefitted from this event.
The collaboration would help 1,000 underprivileged students to provide assistance with English and Mathematics. The project outlay was Rs. 1,27,000.
Speaking about the association, Chairman of Mysore Amity Round Table 156 Hussain Vagh says, “We are focused on providing quality education and other facilities to the students of the underprivileged area so that they grow into learned citizens. We also concentrate on the development of overall educational systems and in our pledge to serve our society better, we are striving everyday to give our best and do better for them.”
Varthana is an NBFC organisation that helps in financing schools and students. It aims to meet the needs of private school promoters by supporting the school in expanding their infrastructure by investing in teacher training and introducing new learning methods into their classroom itinerary.
During the pandemic, Varthana came up with the Unlock School Programme. This programme provides students of grades 1-8 access to two printed workbooks for Math and English which are curated as bridge content and mapped to NCERT learning outcomes.
Round Table India is active in the field of education, concentrating on the development of the overall educational system. They are into the construction of classrooms, toilet blocks, providing educational toolkits for special children, and stationarery for students, among others
