Mysuru: In a major breakthrough the Mysuru Railway Protection Force has cracked down on a large-scale scandal involving a fake appointment in the Railway Department and arrested the two accused.
It is said that the arrested duo had cheated 400 candidates to the tune of Rs. 22 crore by luring them of jobs. The arrested are identified as Chandragauda S. Patil AKA Somanagowda of Mysuru and Sivaswamy AKA Papanna of Gadag district. Shivaswamy is a retired railway employee.
The accused managed to collect Rs. 22 crore from 400 job seekers. Many had sold their land and availed loans to pay bribes to the accused.
