Mysuru: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K. S. Eshwarappa on Tuesday April 12 said that he is unaware anyone by the name of contractor Santhosh Patil and refused to resign for no fault of his in the death of the latter.
Eshwarappa is in the eye of storm with Patil allegedly resorting to suicide at a lodge in Udupi. Eshwarappa who is a part of BJP team on the tour of Mysuru Division to organise the party ahead of elections due next year in the State spoketo mediapersons in the City.
“I don’t know Santhosh. Earlier he had made allegations against our
Department and we registered a complaint. He may have got notice from the court and thus may have resorted to suicide out of fear. I am no way connected
with his death. I won’t step down from the post of minister,” Eshwarappa asserted.
